Hey officers, I love you guys and all, but I was wondering exactly when officer terms are.
I believe we had our first elections before winter break last year, but we had none at the end of the spring semester (please correct me if this has already been discussed; I missed the last few meetings).
It seems to me like its not a good idea to have terms be for a calendar year (a spring semester and the following fall semester) because then seniors would have a tough time being officers. Are we going to have elections every semester, or every school year?
Also, were we going to have elections early next semester? This also seems a bad idea to me, because we'd still be trying to make meetings friendly to new members, and most wouldn't know enough of the other memebers well enough to nominate and vote. (Not that I'm an expert on each member of the GCS, but I think its better to elect at the end of a semester when people are better aquainted with the GCS and its members).
